2) The second is a band formed in Montreal in the spring of 2007 and only lasted for about a year. Judith Butler features Lisa J. Smith of 'Pony Up,' James Requima of 'Grandpa's Army,' Andrew Smith of 'Segasim,' and Sarah McCarthy and Ben McCarthy of 'Archivist'. The band never played a show together publicly, but recorded a number of songs that were circulated briefly among a closed mixtape sub-culture in the Mile End/Plateau area of Montreal (their most popular songs being 'Bowery Boy,' and 'I'm in Love with Americans.' Lead singer/song writer Ben McCarthy broke away from this group and started a solo project in the summer of 2007 which poached a number of songs from Judith Butler, and, finally, a number of its members. Pony Up and Archivist continue to gain popularity as groups.
