His current style of playing has been described as unique, having turned away from the "Modern School" of playing to embrace a more romantic sound. His playing is informed with emotion sorely lacking amongst other performers.

He has performed works by Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven,

Chopin, Mendelssohn, and many others.

Julius Schmidt has improvised at the piano since his earliest memories. He began recording some of his improvisations in 2006, and already a few years later, demand for these recordings had grown considerably and could be found in many countries around the world.

All of his improvisations are real classical improvisations. They were all played spontaneously at the piano with absolutely no preparation beforehand.

His recordings are available at his website, as well as at Amazon, Itunes, Emusic, Spotify,Rdio and other places.

Julius Schmidt has composed classical music since the age of 16. His style is considered decidedly modern, yet very different from the current style composed in classical circles.
