Biography
Junge Eko is the solo project of Swiss musician, composer, and performer Catia Lanfranchi. Singing in soft-hued tones over rich electroacoustic backdrops made from field recordings, live instruments, glitchy rhythms and sampled textures. Borrowing from pop songwriting and slowcore ambiance, exploring the song as both a produced world built from the ground up and a live, improvised thing emerging between collaborators, Lanfranchi lingers in repetition and humid atmospheres, the indeterminate spaces before song takes shape. Her latest work is a suite of electroacoustic experiments and hypnagogic half-songs that coalesce and disintegrate as the album unfurls.
