Biography
Kit Gordon is a composer, vocalist, and drummer who resides on the edge of Northwest London. He produces and records every instrument by himself, saddling a sound that has brought him into the limbo-land between Jazz, Hip-Hop, Folk and Ambient. Previously coined for “bringing a new introverted twist to the rising Chill UK Hip-Hop genre” (Tribe Mag), with further attention from Dummy, Dance Wax, and BabyStep who named him for his ‘unique’ and ‘expressively intimate’ sound.
In the past, collaborating with R&B singer Jaydonclover as well as Dutch rapper B. Fisher, to supporting London’s Neo-jazz group Tanhai Collective in their UK tour. More recently, Kit has been aided by (3D) binaural recording practices, making use of his self-constructed Dummy Head ‘Doris’ in the home studio to immerse headphone listeners into the refreshingly organic, hand-crafted world of Kit Gordon.
