Biography

Katia Krow is the ambient electronic project of New York City–based Emirati artist Odi Suood Bashir (b. October 8, 2006, Dubai, UAE). Working between the sonic geographies of Dubai and New York, Bashir constructs immersive electroacoustic worlds shaped by field recordings, textured synthesis, glitchy rhythms, and slow-moving experimental composition.

His work has been featured on BBC Radio, The Economist, Foxy Digitalis, and PopMatters. He is also associated with Analog Amigo Records and the Fastest Ascent collective. Selected works were presented at the State of Play Festival at ODC Theater in San Francisco (2024) where they were integrated into live choreography. And at the Venice Conference hosted by Becoming Press (2026) where they were presented as part of an art installation.
