Biography
Under his own name Kevin Richard Martin (OD, Techno Animal, Ice, Curse of the Golden Vampire, Pressure, King Midas Sound) destils some of his bleakest work by way of white-out atonalities and infrasonic rumbles shot thru with an unnerving isolationist melancholia. Aural haunting palpably stricken by existential dread but with pangs of beauty that cling to hope like a limpet on the hull of his icebreaking structures, with a grasp of life-affirming heaviness that dangles it just above the end of the rope. His longhand conviction in dub-as-method guides him to the limits of that sound, where it crosses the threshold into realms shared by dark ambient, at the peripheries of BM, post-techno electronics and doom metal.
