Biography
The Sacramento foursome Last Day King (LDK) combines compelling music with a distinctive live show. Formed in early 1997 by guitarist Jeff Matej and vocalist Wayne Maki, the band has evolved a new edge of intensity with the recent overhaul of its rhythm section. Bassist James Geary brings his own driving, fluid, bass lines to the band, while drummer Daniel Hamilton supports the band with his hard-hitting, pounding rhythms. Added to this are the haunting guitar riffs spun by Jeff and the emotional, high-impact vocals of Wayne. This unique combination forms the powerful and polished sound of LDK; a sound that drags the listener in and leaves them gasping for more. Add an intense light show and an energetic stage performance and the result is a one-of-a-kind act that is not to be missed.
