Biography
Let Me Down Jungleman were an Australian indie rock/post-punk band, originally from Cobargo, New South Wales on the far south coast; but later based in Sydney. The band began as a trio, using the name Let Me Down Jungleman, Gently. The band consisted of guitarist/vocalist Cody Munro, drummer Jack Wotton and bassist/vocalist Sam Rees. They released a two-track demo and continued to generate interest in their area. Upon relocating to Sydney, the band phased out and eventually dropped the "Gently" from their name.
In 2012, the group released their debut EP under their new name, a six-track self-titled EP. Shortly after the EP's release, Rees left the band due to personal reasons. Munro and Wotton then expanded the band's line-up to a quartet, including guitarist/keyboardist Tim McMahon (also of Totally Unicorn) and bassist Nick Griffith. In late 2012, the band released another EP, entitled "Half Now," - intended to be the first half of an album; with the second half being released as "Half Later." However, this plan would ultimately be scrapped in early 2013; when it was announced that the band would be dissolving and the final line-up - minus McMahon - would continue on under the name Big White[/artst].
