Biography
Loraine is a 5 piece instrumental post-rock band from Atlanta, GA. Their sound is characterized by dynamic builds, flowing melodies, and slow shoegaze sways. The band formed in early 2012 and began playing shows and working on a self-recorded EP entitled "An Autumn Evening" to be released November 2012. Loraine sites their biggest influences, aside from the most obvious Explosions in the Sky, as Pinback, Electric President, Modest Mouse, and Sigur Rós. After going on hiatus in 2017, they returned in 2023 to re-release An Autumn Evening EP, and released their debut full length 'Exist' in 2026.
All of the members of Loraine were part of the Atlanta hardcore scene prior to joining Loraine, and obvious traces of this are left in their music.
