Biography
An embodiment of unadjusted musical creativity, guitar hero Marc Ribot is best known for his work with Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, John Zorn, the Lounge Lizards, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, T-Bone Burnett, David Sylvian and Medeski Martin & Wood. For the Dubuis Trio’s “awesome avant-garde funky rock jazz”, 55-year-old Ribot is an ideal partner. He himself says: “If you really want to know what downtown sounded like in 1982 – come and listen to these 20-something Swiss guys.” Leading deeper into the world of Lucien Dubuis, a bonus DVD of 20 minutes length shows the making of the new album. It is a journey into the “Ultime Cosmos” (Outest Space) of musical adventure.
