Biography
Lunar Blood is a black/death metal band from Montclair, New Jersey, formed in 2020. They deliver abrasive, chaotic, and intensely aggressive music that mixes Swedish-style death metal buzzsaw tones, black metal dissonance and atmosphere, grind/war metal ferocity, noise elements, and hardcore/punk energy.
The result is ugly, high-intensity sonic violence with punchy riffs, blasts, pick scrapes, and cavernous vocals. Themes frequently touch on police brutality, veganism, war, human cruelty, state violence, oppression, queer liberation, and mental turmoil—framed with a dystopian, confrontational edge.

Their own description: “New Jersey blackened death grind. The sounds of decline. Echoes of finding the end of your rope. When the junkyard dog is pushed, she will bite with more than just anger. She bites with hunger.”
