Biography
Malcolm Mooney and the Tenth Planet is an experimental, avant-garde rock group fronted by the original lead vocalist of the legendary German Krautrock band Can, Malcolm Mooney.
After departing Can in 1970 and taking a decades-long hiatus from the music industry to focus on his work as a painter and sculptor, Mooney returned to music in 1998 by collaborating with The Tenth Planet, an avant-rock ensemble based in San Francisco. Their unique sound blends cosmic experimental rock, instrumental structures, proto-punk, noise rock, and elements of spoken-word beat poetry.
