In 1987 she became titular organist on the great Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette in Paris. With her husband Eric Lebrun she recorded works by Gaston Litaize, including world premiere recordings. They recorded his recital of works by Mozart and his contemporaries in the church of Santa Maria de Maó in Menorca. Furthermore, recordings of large parts of Dietrich Buxtehude's organ works and all of Alexandre Pierre François Boëly's organ works were made.
Besides Gaston Litaize, Florentine Mulsant (Veni Sancte Spiritus, Suite Sacrée) and Valéry Aubertin (Sonatine pour les étoiles, Third sonata) also composed works for Leurent. In collaboration with the actress Elisabeth Commelin and six other actresses, the oratorio Grand Livre de Marie based on paintings in the church of Notre Dame de Lorette was created. She also recorded music for Jacques Rivette's film Ne touchez pas la hache (based on Balzac's La duchesse de Langeais).
Leurent teaches organ at the Clichy and Saint-Mandé conservatories. She was a professor of music education at the Paris Conservatory and teaches at the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
