Biography

Marimbas Hermanos Paniagua y Corona, the only available information is that they made one album in 1966 Rincón de México en Maderas full of traditional marimba music, accompanied by accordion and sometimes clarinet. Since most track titles refer to Mexican songs it's very likely to be a originated in that country although many traditional Mexican music is very popular in all of Latin America.

In Central-America the marimba was a very popular instrument used early on in 20th century until the early seventies. Guatamala stands out in love of this instrument but also Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua showed lots of affection for the 'singing' wooden keys.
