He composes own music but it's also one of his hobbies to recycle the music of old video games he likes, by re-creating them with fresh-sounding instruments and a bunch of custom elements.

In 2007 he did a rework of the video game soundtrack of "Terranigma" (known as "Terranigma Unofficial Soundtrack").

He also reworked "Kirby's Dream Land 3", "Lufia 2 - Rise of the Sinistrals" and "Secret of Evermore".

Biography:

Denk’s interest in music production began in August 2000, when he first experimented with simple music software. Initially working with sample-based programs of limited capability, he quickly developed a fascination for composing and spent much of his free time creating tracks. Seeking greater creative freedom, he transitioned to the PlayStation title Music by Codemasters, which allowed him to compose original melodies. During this period, he began by recreating popular Trance and Dance tracks before gradually producing his own compositions.

With the release of Music 2000, Denk expanded his output, benefiting from improved sound quality and features. However, distribution remained a challenge until he discovered a PC version of the software in 2003. This enabled him to transfer and refine earlier works, and in January 2004 he joined the online music platform BeSonic under the name CJ Hurricane. There, he gained initial recognition and feedback from an international audience.

In April 2004, Denk was introduced to the digital audio workstation Reason by Propellerhead Software, marking a turning point in his artistic development. The transition to more advanced production tools allowed him to refine his skills in composition, sound design, and arrangement. Early releases created with Reason received positive attention on BeSonic, including original tracks and remixes. Around the same time, he joined the German platform MyOwnMusic, where more critical feedback contributed to a more realistic assessment of his abilities and encouraged further growth.

Over time, Denk developed a distinct style rooted in Epic and Symphonic Trance, occasionally branching into experimental directions. Adopting the alias Wyvern’s Spirit, he distanced himself from his earlier work and identity as CJ Hurricane, reflecting both artistic and personal evolution.

Outside of music, Denk works professionally as a programmer. His creative interests also include literature and travel, which continue to influence his musical direction.
