Born 1983 in Midland, Texas the name Matthew means, "Gift from God" which he has proven rightfully so, with his unique approach to music. Since early childhood, Matt has worked on crafting his poetic and creative writing skills. A dramatic roller-coaster ride of childhood and adolescent experiences attribute to his compelling story of emotional struggle through various family crisis’ that play-out like a modern day television drama. His imaginative and narrative nature drive his music, with inspiration from an observational point of view growing up in the Post-Cold War era. Matt’s point of view stem from the effects of small town American culture, growing up through the controversial transitional phases of two presidential administrations. His childhood memories don’t consist of a life on the streets of a metropolitan American city but rather a small West Texas setting filled with adolescent mischief and early adult tribulations.

His lyrical style uses a variety of wordplay that triggers deep thought and insight in a unique story-telling fashion with in-depth extensive vocabulary and imaginative rhyme schemes. He offers a unique perspective of societal faux-pas evident in his lyrics using an articulate and smooth delivery along with an intense emotional expression the listener can relate to. Some of his favorite references of material for his music come from a vast array of literal interests he studies including: philosophy, social sciences, psychology, and other areas of liberal arts that read like a college course-book. His need to connect with the listener on a deep emotional level are what fuels his fans continuous need for more of his music. Influences derive from numerous song-writers in all genres of music examples including: 2pac, Notorious B.I.G, Eminem, Nas, Ice Cube, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Rakim, Outkast, UGK, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Boyz II Men, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynard, Elton John, as well as dozens of other artists that have helped shaped today’s popular culture.

Matt G intends to become an not only an accomplished lyricist in not only ghost-writing rap music, but also developing new artists in all popular genres worldwide. His current launch of G3M is the beginning of a platform of numerous goals to build an entertainment empire combining all forms of entertainment while continuing to break down social barriers and spread a universal message. As many artists often do, he would also intends to work in hollywood and pursue a career in acting alongside his musical endeavors. Because of his increased educational history and families’ deep business background he is committed to becoming one of the most influential presences in the future of entertainment for much time to come.
