Biography
McGruff the Crime Dog is an anthropomorphic bloodhound. Although he was created in 1979 and first appeared in 1980, he shows little to no signs of aging.
McGruff is strongly opposed to crime, with a particular focus on discouraging drug use. His musical career consists of a single album, which centres largely on anti-drug themes. There isn't much information about his life prior to his work in crime prevention, though it has been suggested that his stance on drugs comes from a troubled past during his younger pup years.
