Biography
Mark Ruester first began writing his own music at his mother's piano at age 4. Born in mid-western region of the United States in Iowa near the Mississippi river, his family relocated to the Chicago area while; he was still a young child. By age 14 Mark took up electric bass guitar and began performing a wide variety of music from Rock to Jazz to Musicals. At college Mark studied music composition and computer science with the dream of someday becoming an award-wining composer. His music has been performed with local Rock Bands, Musicals and Variety Shows for years in the Chicago area.
By 1988 Mark grew tired of the local Rock scene and took a hiatus from music for nearly a quarter of a century, to marry his sweetheart and raise a family. Throughout his years away from music, his love for music only grew stronger. By 2011, the music bug bit him hard, and the Mimes On Rollercoasters™ were born. 2013 marks the release of the first Mimes On Rollercoasters™ CD "The First Date".

Continuing the story of Marcel and Mimi Mime, Mimes On Rollercoasters™ released their second album: Criminal Mimes, January 1st, 2014. This album has enjoyed world wide recognition since it's release.
April 1st, 2014 brought the release of the first Mimes On Rollercoasters™ single: Labor To Life. The single is billed as a musical journey from conception to birth. Additionally, Labor To Life was a musical preview to the upcoming third album: Mimes On Rollercoasters™ - 3, released March 21, 2015.
Following up the third album, Mimes On Rollercoasters™ released their second single: Weightless. This time however, the single is from their up coming new fourth album, scheduled for release in the summer of 2016. Along with the single came a music video of the same name, which can be found on the Mimes On Rollercoasters™ YouTube channel.
July, 2016 marked the international release of Mimes On Rollercoasters™ fourth album titled: Rock it!, featuring a space themed song-list, dealing mostly with the plight of middle-class Americans.
July, 2017 begins a new era for Mimes On Rollercoasters™ as they are no longer focusing on album releases, but rather more frequent Single releases. Kicking off the new era with the Single: Elly May's Private Zoo.
