sound blends the primal urgency of classic power trios like Cream and Mahavishnu
with the moody psychedelia of modern art-rockers like Godspeed You Black
Emperor! and The Mars Volta.
Primarily a live project throughout most of 2005-2006, Mind Capsule went into
the studio in late '06 with producer and long-time collaborator Nik Chinboukas
and emerged with The Space Between. Their first proper offering as a band, Space
captures Mind Capsule at full force and firmly establishes that they are as
formidable a studio entity as they are a live unit. The songs are meticulously
layered and harmonically complex but still crackle with the restless energy and
effortless back-and-forth that has become the bandÆs trademark.
