Biography

Morte Macabre is a dark progressive rock band formed by the members of two important Swedish progressive bands from the 1990s, Landberk and Anekdoten.

Morte Macabre released their only album, "Symphonic Holocaust", in October 1998. The album is comprised of covered themes from horror movies, like "Cannibal Holocaust", "City of the Living Dead" or "Rosemary's Baby". The music and atmosphere on the album are characterised by excessive use of mellotron and synthesizers, while the guitars and keyboards show the darkness, tension and anxiety included in the 8 tracks.
