Although Murkbox is steeped in themes of horror and science fiction the end result generally presents itself in something of a comic bookesque fashion.
The sound is essentially various forms of electronic experimentalism usually drenched in distortion. More often than not, Murkbox is beat oriented; overdriven electro, breakbeats, and glitch peppered with classic horror and sci-fi samples. Murkbox also has forays into ambient noisescapes well illustrated by Bad Taste release Binary Drift. A blending of all these elements is the usual fare for a live Murkbox performance.
