Noa Kirel
Biography
Noa Kirel (Hebrew: נועה קירל; born April 10, 2001, originally named Noya) is one of Israel’s leading pop stars , a singer-songwriter , dancer , actress , model , and television personality whose energetic dance-pop , electronic , and Hebrew-English hybrid style has made her a generational icon often compared to a local Taylor Swift.
Born and raised in Ra’anana to Israeli parents—her mother Ilana of Sephardi/Mizrahi (Moroccan-Jewish) descent who runs a fashion boutique, and her father Amir of Ashkenazi (Austrian-Jewish) descent who heads a glass-import business—she is the youngest of three siblings. As a three-month-old she suffered a severe kidney illness that left her with one functioning kidney; a rabbi advised changing her name to Noa (evoking “movement”) for better fortune and lightheartedly predicted she might become a dancer. Relatives on her father’s side were murdered in Auschwitz, a history she has publicly referenced. She began dancing at age three and performing for family as a child, briefly auditioning for a kids’ music-school show around age 10.

Her career launched in 2015 at age 13–14 after a docu-reality series followed her and her supportive father; she released her debut single “Medabrim,” followed quickly by “Killer” (whose provocative video drew attention due to her age) and a string of hits including “Yesh Bi Ahava,” “Ten Li Siman,” and others that mixed Hebrew rap, pop, and dance. By 2016 she was named Singer of the Year at the Israeli Kids’ Choice Awards. She has won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Israeli Act six times (2017–2024). In 2018, at just 16, she became the youngest judge in Got Talent franchise history when she joined the panel of Israel’s Got Talent. The same year she starred in the dual-role TV series Kfula (playing both a pop star version of herself and her blogger alter-ego) and continued acting in films, series, and voice work while building a massive commercial presence as a brand ambassador for Adidas, Peugeot, Samsung, and others.
She signed with Atlantic Records around 2022, releasing English-language singles such as “Please Don’t Suck,” “Bad Little Thing,” and “Thought About That” aimed at international audiences while continuing Hebrew hits. In 2023 she represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool with the self-co-written empowerment anthem “Unicorn,” delivering a high-energy performance with intricate choreography that earned third place overall (strong jury support). The exposure boosted her global profile; she later parted ways with Atlantic and worked with other distributors including The Orchard (Sony).
Personally, she dated model/actor Tomer HaCohen (2021–early 2023), then began a relationship with Israel national team goalkeeper Daniel Peretz; they became engaged in September 2024 and married on November 11, 2025, in Tel Aviv, where she debuted new songs including “Bridezilla” and “Kol Ma She’ani Rotza.”
In 2026 she expanded further into television as a coach on The Voice Israel (her contestant won the season), released new material including the single “Love Song” (whose graphic, violent music video sparked parental controversy and debate about her artistic evolution), and starred in the Argentine-Israeli co-produced youth musical romance series Mírame así, el camino de Noa (filmed in Buenos Aires opposite Agustín Bernasconi), which premiered on Prime Video in Latin America on October 9, 2026, and also aired on Argentine free-to-air television, featuring original songs performed by the leads.
She continues to release music (including Hebrew EPs and singles), perform live, and maintain a strong social-media and commercial presence, solidifying her status as a multifaceted, internationally visible Israeli entertainment force who balances domestic pop dominance with growing cross-border projects in music, acting, and media.
