One Dimensional Creatures
Biography
Established in 2023, One Dimensional Creatures (aka One Dimes) are an alternative punk/post‑punk/grunge band from Greater Manchester and The Calder Valley in the UK. Their sound blends heavy distortion, angular lead lines and driving rhythms with lyrics that tear into politics, inequality and the daily grind.
Their debut album Tolerance Paradox arrived in late 2025 on limited red vinyl, CD, download and streaming; described by the band as a “sonic middle finger to the rich neoliberal parasites in charge.” Alongside the album, they’ve released multiple singles and EPs, including the sold‑out Baited Chains EP and Welcome to Serfdom EP.

Since forming, One Dimensional Creatures have gigged relentlessly across the UK, from Manchester to London, building a reputation for raw, high‑energy live shows and a fiercely DIY ethic. Everything; recording, mixing, artwork and releases is handled through their own label, BKD Music.
They’ve been supported by stations including Salford City Radio, Big City Radio, Banks Radio, Future Hits Radio, Amazing Radio and Radio Wigwam, and featured across numerous Spotify playlists. RGM Magazine described them as “IDLES mixed with The Murder Capital with a smattering of Joy Division and a healthy dose of old‑skool punk.”
Their music has now been streamed over 440,000 times, with breakout single “Bleed the Markets” surpassing 270,000 streams alone. With every release and every show, their politically charged, cathartic sound continues to grow its following, and they’re rapidly carving out their place in the UK alternative scene.
