Biography
Pää is an alternative metal band formed in mid 00's in Helsinki, Finland by guitarist and singer Mikko Rekonen (known as the drummer in Sydän, sydän), bassist Ari Töyräänvuori and drummer Jesse Liskola. The groups debut album Pii was released in 2005. The album was a mix of artsy spacious land scapes and nu-metal influences. Their second release was an EP called Para which toned down the expression to a more progressive and ambietic moods. Their third album was released in 2008 and was directed more to the commercial audience. The production was updated and song structures polished highlighting contemporary metal riffs. Since 2010 the band have been on a indefinit hiatus working on other projects. The band decided to release a final album they had been working on several years due to time constraints. The album named only as the plus sign (+) was released in january 2015.
