Biography
Hailing from the rugged creative landscape of Nipaluna (Hobart) now based in Newcastle (Mulubinba), Poltergeist 9000 is a high-decibel synth-punk duo existing at the volatile intersection of visual art and visceral noise. Built on a foundation of DIY ethos, the band pushes the classic drum-and-bass format through a blender of hyper-energetic punk and industrial grit. Drawing inspiration from the frantic architecture of Lightning Bolt, the audacity of The Garden, and the electronic carnage of The Prodigy, the duo has become a formidable staple of the Australian alternative scene.
