PANF’s music is both historical and spiritual — exploring themes of cultural genocide, rebellion, and the enduring strength of Indigenous identity across the Americas.
The debut album, Tecumseh’s War (2016), introduced the band’s vision: furious, primitive black metal infused with the story of Shawnee leader Tecumseh, whose resistance against U.S. expansion became a symbol of Indigenous unity.
In 2021, Little Turtle’s War marked a sonic evolution — clearer production, richer layers, and moments of solemn reflection between waves of chaos.
It centers on Michikiniqua (Little Turtle), a Miami war leader who defended his people’s land during the Northwest Indian War.
Both albums serve as a form of musical remembrance, reclaiming voices and histories erased by colonial narratives.
Kurator of War performs live dressed in traditional regalia and war paint, creating a ritualistic, confrontational stage presence described as “a call to battle through sound and memory.”
Pan-Amerikan Native Front is not a nationalist project but a decolonial statement — a raw, sonic protest against imperialism and cultural erasure.
Kurator of War has described PANF as “a weapon of memory” — using black metal as a means to honor fallen ancestors and reclaim history from the oppressor’s narrative.
