Biography
Panegyrist is an American avant-garde black metal band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 2017. Unlike traditional black metal, which predominantly features anti-religious or nihilistic themes, Panegyrist stands out for its explicitly theological, mystical, and Christian themes—a subgenre often referred to as "unblack metal" or devotional black metal.
