Biography
Metalcore band Perelandra is a six-piece metalcore band from New York that come armed with most of the traits you’d expect from a band in the genre. The band’s third single to date, “Taste Of Betrayal” .
It’s a good balance of heavy and melodic that will undoubtedly draw in some new listeners. And it’s a great opportunity for the band to establish themselves in a crowded metalcore scene as well. It’s also the band’s first new song of 2023, following up Perelandra’s first two they released in 2023. With a few shows planned for the immediate future as well as new music, it’ll be interesting to see (well, hear) where the band goes from here.

Rock band Perelandra
When you mix musical integrity along with honest songwriting; you will find Perelandra, a five-piece rock band hailing from Tennessee. Their debut album "A Fragment Of Life" delivers instrumental depth and melodic vocals to create a sound that is difficult to imitate. Recorded and produced by Mark Maxwell (R.E.M., Widespread Panic) and mixed by Micheal Joyce, the album proves to hold substance and mystery while embracing a combination of the early sounds of The Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, Third Eye Blind, and Jimmy Eat World.
Garnering influences from ancient philosophers and classic authors, Perelandra seeks to deliver concepts and ideals within their music. Tucker Blackmon, Perelandra bassist says, "In the past, we have entertained countless trendy, vapid musical excursions. We are not your everyday indie rock band that is attempting to copy the latest trend. We have taken considerable care with this entire project. From the image, the songwriting, the recording, to the live show, we have made a consistent effort to be as good as we can possibly be." Blackmon continues, "The image and idea behind the band is a simultaneously simple and complex one. We have used concepts and influences from Soren Kierkegaard and C.S. Lewis to create an underlying theme for Perelandra."
Set to record in October 2006, Perelandra will release a full length album by early 2007.
