History:

The band formed in their hometown of Yokohama in 2003 and mainly performed in Yokohama and Yokosuka. At the time, the members were 19 years old.

In 2005 they released their first pressed recording, HONTOWASHIGARAMINONAKA (“Actually Inside the Constraints”). It sold out after charting at Highline Records and is now out of print. Around this time they began hosting their own event series, PUBLIC NOISE FADE OUT.

In 2006 they suddenly appeared at Summer Sonic after winning an audition organized by Toshiba EMI and Creativeman Productions, performing as the opening act on the Island Stage.

In April 2007 they released their first album, Chomo to Boku wa Shigarami no Naka, through Toshiba EMI and conducted their first nationwide tour. The album spread through word of mouth and record stores, leading to media exposure including an appearance on Fuji TV’s music program FACTORY. The music video for the lead track “through your reality” was directed by film director Daishi Matsunaga. The song became a particularly intense live favorite and was reportedly written when the members were still teenagers. That year they also performed at Summer Sonic for the second consecutive year, this time on the Mountain Stage. From the same year onward, they began holding an annual two-man event titled Gazelle Eat Gazelle with Dr. Downer at Yokosuka Pumpkin.

In April 2008 they released their second album Limelight Blue on the Q.T. through AVOCADO RECORDS, a sublabel of Toshiba EMI, and embarked on the release tour Run Away, Don’t Run Away. Their first one-man show at Shimokitazawa Shelter sold out. The song “Five sensens Five minutes” from the album received nationwide airplay as a TSUTAYA power-push track. They also appeared on FACTORY for the second consecutive year and performed a two-man show with 9mm Parabellum Bullet at Yokosuka Pumpkin.

In May 2009 they released their third album camouflage through AVOCADO RECORDS, with art direction by contemporary artist Pyu~pilu. They carried out a release tour of nearly 40 shows and held a one-man concert at Shibuya Club Quattro. The album reached No.1 on the indie chart at Tower Records Shibuya. That year they also performed at COUNTDOWN JAPAN ’09/10 and on tour with Asian Kung-Fu Generation. A one-hour documentary about the band aired on MUSIC ON! TV.

In September 2010 founding bassist Yamanaka left the band, and in December the new bassist Kitazawa was announced.

In March 2012 they released their fourth album Kajitsu through POP GROUP Recordings and held their first one-man show in three years at Shibuya O-West. They also actively participated in events such as KAIKOO organized by the label. During this period, Miyamoto from MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS and Mori from mudy on the 昨晩 joined the band on stage, sometimes performing as a six-member lineup.

In December 2013 Kitazawa left the band.

In July 2014 Matsushita joined as the new bassist. In October that year the band contributed the track “Kanashimi Inukou” to the compilation album ...OUT OF THIS WORLD, supervised by STEP UP RECORDS.

In June 2015 they released their first mini album distributed commercially, Kanashimi Inukou, through their independent label Shigarami Production. They also released their fourth music video, “Magical Engine,” an animated work created by TM PAINT and FOOLISH GLORY STUDIO.

In August 2016 they released their first analog record, TANPO / MACAO, through FLAKE RECORDS. After their live performance on December 28 of that year, the band entered a hiatus.

In December 2019 they held a live show at Yokosuka PUMPKIN with founding member Yamaguchi returning on drums. Their future activities remain unclear.
