Biography
Rainbow Massacre are a lively 5-piece alternative hard rock band from the Eastern hills of Melbourne that create a combination of electrically-charged power-grooves laced with tantalizing psychedelia marked by introspectively honest lyrics. Rainbow Massacre drape colourful vocal melodies over a mesmerizing brand of big & dynamic instrumentals, like a sword fight with a bag of skittles.
Formed in 2008, their wall of sound will bring up flashbacks of the 90's, including an unquestioned influence from 70's aussie rock legend Lobby Loyde (father of the vocalist), and an enthused sense of what hasn't been done before. Rainbow Massacre will have you tapping your feet one minute, lulled into deep reflective thought the next, and overwhelmed by loud invention the next.
