Biography

There are two artists by the name Revere.

1) Formed in September of 2003, Revere began when Eddie Meehan (bass) and Barry Anthony (drums) wanted to start a new project soon after Tenfold disbanded. While working in San Francisco , Eddie met Andy Slipka, a vocalist from the beloved Bay Area band Element of Surprise. Bring in guitarist Danny Thomas from Sacramento 's Singe, and Revere is complete.

Revere 's influences are as vast and eclectic as the music they create. Soft and soothing melodies effortlessly blend into exploding vocals with aggressive catchy riffs that presents a twist to the average rock band.

With the wide array of music tastes and experiences with past projects, Revere is a prime example of a band that is dedicated to their talents and refuses to give up what they love most—music.

Revere will be on tour throughout 2004 and into 2005 to accompany an EP to come out next month (produced by Revolution Smile's Shaun Lopez), along with a full-length album slated for a spring 2005 release

2)Revere (stylised as REVERE) was a British indie-rock band based in London, England. Its final lineup was Stephen Ellis (guitar, vocals), Ellie Wilson (violin, vocals), Nicholas Hirst (keyboard, vocal), Ruban Byrne (guitar, vocals), Thom Ashworth (bass), Ian Cotterhill (drums) and Kathleen Mckie (cello). On 10 October 2016, the band announced they were to split up after two final shows, and released a final video from the Man of Atom EP for the track "Sonder".

The band incorporated violin, cello, keys and trumpet into a guitar-led sound, combining elements of gypsy songs, funeral marches, klezmer, post rock, film scores and gospel producing a dramatic orchestral soundscape, moving from tiny, music-box openings, through heart-wrenching melodies to epic finales.
