Biography
RHÛN is an american psychedelic black metal solo project by Aaron Charles, based in Portland, Maine. Charles is also a member of the atmospheric black metal band Falls of Rauros. Blending black metal with psychedelic and death metal influences, RHÛN creates a dense, immersive sound characterised by hypnotic riffs, dissonant melodies, driving rhythms and atmospheric layers. The music balances the aggression of extreme metal with a warped, hallucinatory atmosphere, incorporating shifting textures and unconventional song structures.
The project explores the psychedelic and experimental side of black metal, moving between abrasive passages and hypnotic, atmospheric sections. Through repetition, dissonance and layered instrumentation, RHÛN creates an intense and otherworldly listening experience.
