Biography
Jason “DJ Kane” Cano was discovered by Latin artist A.B. Quintanilla III who made Cano the lead vocalist of Los Kumbia Kings.This original lineup released six successful albums and sold anestimated five million units in total before disbanding. They had majorhits with “Shhh!“, “Boom Boom“, “No Tengo Dinero” and “Desde Que No Estás Aquí” which were sung by DJ Kane.
DJ Kane was one of the original members along with Frankie J to leave Los Kumbia Kings for a solo career, and signed a contract with EMI to record and form his own group. With help from veteran musicians Roland Gutierrezand Mariano Harerra, he put together a super group with musicians fromfamous backgrounds and a high power show which would leave audiencesshocked. In 2004, he released his self titled first album DJ Kane which went to number 8 on the Billboardcharts with hits including “La Negra Tomasa” and “Mía”, also earningtwo Latin Grammy nominations for Best Urban Album and Producer of theYear.

The following year, DJ Kane released his second album titled Capitulo II: Brincaand reached number 28 on Billboard, also earning a Latin Grammynomination for the Best Tropical Regional Mexican Album, though thisaward went to his former group Los Kumbia Kings which had released itslive album titled Kumbia Kings Live.
In 2007 Jason released his final album as a solo artist titled Capitulo III: Ahogando Penas and in February 2008 he rejoined A.B. Quintanilla with his new group Los Kumbia All Starz

RICKY RICK
Ricardo Ruiz Pérez (born on June 3, 1983 in Monterrey, Nuevo León) better known as Ricky Rick is a Mexican singer and former vocalist for the band Kumbia All Starz. After a successful career with Kumbia All Starz, performing songs such as “Mami” “Rica y Apretadita” and “Por Ti Baby” Ricky is now working on a project alongside ex Kumbia Kings vocalist DJ Kane
Early Life
Born Ricardo Ruiz Perez and raised in his native Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico. His inclination for music developed earlier on. Having been exposed to all the positive aspects of being bicultural, he would spend a vast majority of his childhood with his Panamanian Dad listening toSalsa, Soca and to the Reggae music of El General, Nando Boom and various other musical exponents prevalent at that time in the country. That led him to experiment fluidly with sounds and discover through the years his own musical abilities. At the age of 3, he and his friend, producer and former Los Super Reyes guitarist Reynold Martinez, started dabbling in music. At 10 he picked up the guitar and at 15, back in Monterrey, Ricky Rick started performing with various local bands. At 17 he learned to play percussion and drums and continued singing and performing, all the while working towards obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Business from the Universidad Regiomontana de Monterrey.

The singer-songwriter Ricky commenced his musical profession when a friend introduced him to A.B. Quintanilla who at the time was auditioning members for a new musical concept. Barely two days after a brief telephone audition, A.B. flew him to Texas to start recording the songs that would then become megahits for the band. After spending 4 years travelling the world, playing sold out shows and collaborating with many great musical minds including A.B., Melissa Jimenez on “Rica y Apretadita” and DJ Flex on “Por Ti Baby” and “Besos de Amor”, he decided it was time to venture out on his own and as such, teamed up with former Kumbia Kings lead singer DJ Kaneafter the two discussed the idea while on a trip to Bolivia. The two had previously performed on stage together when they formed part of theKumbia All Starz. The newly formed duo then called upon Grammy winning producer Robert “Bobbo” Gomez, Reynold Martinez, and The DEY’s Yeyo Cancio to produce the duo's debut album. The upcoming album is said to be a fusion of urban and cumbia laced with electronic rhythms. The new project is set to release early 2011.
