In the late 90's, he cut five albums under the Fantasy label, of which the best is "52nd Street". Currently, he can be caught with drummer Jeff "Tain" Watts, bassist Essiet Essiet, and fellow Pittsburgher and brilliant piano man Dave Budway, making a regular gig at the Zinc Bar, downtown Manhattan, on Houston Street.
Affif's style is reminiscent of Wes Montgomery and George Benson, and Benson once described Affif playing as his, "favorite type of guitar player... one that plays with fire."
