Room of Wires

Biography

Room of Wires is a UK-based electronic music duo formed in 2013 that is famous for its extreme isolationist approach: the two members have never actually met in person. They collaborate strictly over the internet, trading files to craft a dark, unsettling, and fragile blend of Intelligent Industrial Dance Music (IIDM), glitch-hop, IDM, and ambient soundscapes. While one member pieces tracks together using physical hardware and modular synths, the other works entirely within software and virtual cables—giving literal meaning to their moniker.
