Biography
Saberblood is a Swedish duo from Örebro that has been active for more than seven vears, starting as a side project that blends dark Americana-tinged neofolk and goth rock with later synth-driven darkwave. The lineup includes Viktor Holmqvist and Douglas Wentzel, who record at Route 52 Studios. Their sound has been described as spanning coldwave, darkwave, goth, and horror-influenced rock.
They released the full-length debut "Don't Let The Sun In" in 2018, followed by EPs "Step Out Of The Light" in 2019 and "Into The Black" in 2024. In 2024 the track "Shame" appeared on the "Into The Black" EP and in 2025 singles "Bloodcult 52" and "Blood Stains" were released. A newer single, "All Mine (Trail of Fear)" came out April 20, 2026. In October 2025, label Inåt Bakåt Records announced plans to reissue the two EPs and the debut together on limited cassettes.

The band has played live in Sweden, including a March 21, 2026 show at Oceanen in Gothenburg with songs like "Pleasure Beyond Flesh" "Bloodcult 52," and "Shame". In interviews they cite influences such as Depeche Mode, particularly the albums 'Black Celebration" and "Ultra"
