Biography

Composer, singer and pianist Sanders’ was born in Amsterdam in 1973. He started to make music from a very early age, and developed a penchant for blues and boogie-woogie. He studied jazz piano at the college of music, played in a number of bands and was inspired by the music of young Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee and Harry Connick jr.

At the age of 18, Sanders’ left for France, where French chansons captured his heart. He sought to combine this music with his old love – American swing jazz. From time to time, he came across this mix in the records of Michel Delpech, Yves Montand or Henri Salvador. He started to write music and to sing in French; he had set out his musical direction.
