SERENITY TRACE Started out as a two piece studio project in late 2000 with the two singers M and O. They adopted the name Boondock Saints from the movie and made a DIY album called "The Diary of a Dying Society...". this led to several gigs as an industrial metal hip hop outfit with massive underground success. The founding members of what was then known as Boondock Saints went different ways about a year after "The Diary of a Dying Society..." was released, to educate themselves further.

In 2004 they returned to Norway from different parts of the world and decided to form the band in a new and even more aggressive outfit. They contacted old friends and bandmates Mr Brown, St.B. and Jay to form the new Boondock Saints. DJ-St.E joined shortly after and things started to go crazy. They played their first gig as a full band in the autumn of 2005.

During spring 2006 they could no longer use the name Boondock Saints because of legal issues with the makers of the movie so the band changed their name to Serenity Trace.

In October 2006 they were honoured by a new addition to the line up in the form of another guitarist, Mr. I (initially he called himself Mr. White - See Reservoir Dogs). So with fresh blood in the lines, an album on its way, things were looking pretty good.

In Spring 2007, Mr. Brown left the band because of certain differences in his own life and his opinion on the band. After a summer of searching for someone crazy enough to fill in for him, Serenity Trace adopted the swedish nutcase D.D. who had recently moved to Norway. He fit the crowd perfectly, and there was no need to try out another.

However, august the same year, Jay left the ranks because of family issues. In fact, he was making a family and felt he was needed at home with his newborn son. Serenity Trace wishes him well. He continued to fill in on bass for a few gigs.

BTC announced his departure from Serenity Trace in the autumn of 2007 and the band started searching for a replacement drummer. Luckily enough, they found a mad western norwegian for the job shortly after. J.D. added a new vibe to the band which was most welcome. Not long after, the band also had the pleasure of welcoming the former punk drummer Kay on bass after a couple auditions. And finally, the line up was complete again!

Serenity Trace is very much back on track and is regaining a total focus on the hate and sonic terror they have expressed since day one. There will be more shows, more music and more mayhem from these angry Norwegians, so make sure you don't miss out next time they're in a town near you! And make sure you get your hands on Serenity Trace's debut album "7th Revolution", out now!!!
