Biography
Something Wilder is an emerging Los Angeles-based Americana project fronted by singer-songwriter Lauren Wilder. Blending lyrical tenacity with vintage Americana influences, her music features modern pop-rock hooks. She released her self-titled debut EP on June 24 and regularly performs at venues like TRiP Santa Monica.
The project began as an unconventional creative journey. Lauren learned to play guitar at age 38, taking the stage as a second-chapter artist while balancing her life as a teacher and mother. The music combines the straight-ahead, folk-rock sensibility of artists like Tom Petty and The Wallflowers with deeply personal, confessional songwriting.
