Biography
SOUL OF SYDNEY launched as a blog in early 2009 as a New Year’s resolution between a couple of friends who loved FUNK, [b>SOUL[/b], and DISCO. What started as a small online project to share mixes, memories, and dancefloor moments with like-minded music fans in Sydney quickly grew into a celebrated community and event series dedicated to timeless, feel-good music.
Deeply rooted in Sydney’s underground culture, Soul of Sydney has become renowned for its open-air jams, community dances, and rooftop parties celebrating funk, soul, disco, house, and hip-hop in all their forms. Drawing inspiration from street culture, block parties, and the original spirit of dance music, the crew have built a warm, inclusive space where everyone is welcome to move, connect, and celebrate the rhythm of the city.
