Biography
"VIOLENT FEATHERS", SPIRALIST's third full-length studio album, set for release on May 23rd 2025, takes Bruno Costa's and the band's vision, storytelling, and songwriting into audacious and unparalleled territories. No longer hiding behind metaphor, SPIRALIST's new album sheds light on past trauma and experiences of abuse to deliver a Lynchian ride through the past and the subconscious mind in search of answers.
The mysterious duality suggested in the album's title is reflected in the songs themselves as well. Elements of Alternative Rock, Mathcore, Metal, Industrial, Noise, Shoegaze, Ambient, and even Pop, blend together seamlessly to create a listening experience that is as accessible as it is challenging. From the anthemic and enveloping choruses of "Disintegration" to the danceable energy of songs like "Glasseater" and "Baptism By Fire", and other moments such as the dread-inducing passages of songs like "Hell Froze Over", "Underbelly" and "all plots move deathward", the album's duality and bold choices seek to, as the saying goes, comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.
