Biography
Stefka presents her own music composed to Spanish and Latin-American poems and to her own lyrics. The musical formula of Stefka started when singer-songwriter Stephanie Ruijsenaars started writing music to a poem of the famous Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, entitled Para mi corazón. Composing music, and playing her own songs with other musicians, turned out to be a good way to survive a dramatic event in her personal life.
After Para mi corazón, many other songs followed. The beautiful poetry of Neruda, Federico García Lorca, Concha Mendez, and Alfonsina Storni, the Spanish language and personal circumstances inspired Stephanie to compose many more songs, and also to write her own lyrics to some of the compositions.

The resulting music, further developed by all the musicians that have taken part in Stefka, may be best described as Stefkamusic: personal, colourful music and poetic lyrics expressed in Spanish .
