Biography
Stolen Kidneys is a Finnish underground band that delivers a crushing, apocalyptic blend of sludge metal, hardcore punk, and 1990s noise rock. Formed in Oulu, Finland in 2009, the four-piece group is defined by its dissonant guitar work, heavy rhythms, and a bleak, wall-of-sound production style. Their music explores grim, existential themes, resulting in a chaotic, intensely loud live experience deeply rooted in the DIY heavy music scene.
Their key discography includes their 7-track debut album Ruin (2017), the dark sophomore LP Maailma loppuu (2021), and a series of underground splits with bands like Boar, Arson Under the Sea, Nikander, and Grins. They frequently record at the renowned Tonehaven Studio in the Finnish countryside, working with trusted underground sound engineers like Tom Brooke and Pentti Dassum.
