Biography
Taraamoon (تَرامون) is an Iranian alternative/electronic music project formed in 2020 by Paris-based artists Sara Bigdeli Shamloo and Nima Aghiani. Rooted in the Farsi language, their music combines atmospheric electronic production, experimental sound, dramatic vocals, and contemporary Iranian poetry and storytelling. The duo are also known for their work as 9T Antiope, while Taraamoon provides a distinct space for their exploration of Farsi-language music and Iranian identity. Their work moves between intimate, haunting soundscapes and darker, rhythm-driven electronic forms, often using narrative and multiple voices to explore displacement, isolation, survival, and connection.
