Biography
Zasu and Stina Suntland, while still recording with SYRIA, formed the straight electro duo The Atomic Nurses, taking their name from the first song they had ever performed together.
In October 2007, The Atmoic Nurses released the 4-track MCD 'Short Syntax' and the 15-track album 'Pyjamadrama' (both recorded between October 2006 and March 2007 in Munich, Germany, produced and mixed by Christian Dörge) on Smart Bomb Records, collecting songs from a specific female point of view - emphasizing the intellect and humor of the Zasu's and Stina's characters. The songs were written by Christian Dörge, but the Nurses also did cover versions of Nancy Sinatra and Jefferson Airplane: The subversive artistic elements were rounded up and yet the show had to go on - and so the Nurses released a 2nd MCD (entitled 'Suicide Girls') and a new album entitled 'The Unseen Ladies On Monitor 7' (again, written and produced by Christian Dörge) in September 2008. The Atomic Nurses split-up in early 2010. Presently, Black October-Records prepares a retrospectve collection of the Nurses' work.
