Biography
The Bird Experience is a Dutch band from The Hague (and Rotterdam), known for their voodoo-infused psychedelic blues rock and gritty soul. Centered around charismatic frontman, vocalist, and harmonicist Mees Vullings (also of the band Heath) the core line-up is completed by organist Pedro Croes, guitarist Redmer Kamsma, bassist Dylan van de Grift, drummer Lars Douma and percussionist Ishmerai Gill. However, the band sometimes expands into a massive twelve-piece outfit.
The Bird Experience released their first single, 'Canto VII', in February 2026. Their eponymous debut full-length, The Bird Experience, followed in Mat of the same year. Their music has been said to mix "carnivalistic blues, freaked-out slow burns and stomping funk, characterized by heavily featured, blistering harmonica playing."
