Biography
The Bourgeois is an alternative rock/punk rock band from Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA), formed in late 2012/early 2013. The group combines grungy guitars with melodic punk and modern alternative rock. Their own style moves between grunge, punk rock, indie rock, and alternative rock. The Bourgeois consciously pursue a do-it-yourself (DIY) approach. They release their music independently, without a major label or extensive promotional campaigns. As a result, they have a loyal fanbase but are relatively unknown outside the independent scene. The Bourgeois are often compared to bands like The Replacements, Nirvana, The Menzingers or Jimmy Eat World. Their songs combine catchy melodies with raw guitars and personal, often reflective lyrics. Typical themes include social alienation, self-doubt, relationships, and hope.
