Biography
The listener is confronted with a wall of sound built from pulsating rhythms, guitar fuzz and diffuse keyboards. Names of shoegaze acts like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Lush and Pale Saints might quickly come into mind. But whereas in many shoegaze productions the vocals happened to be hidden in lots of reverb, The City Beautiful put their flawless and lyrical vocals on top of their soundscapes. The band produce an alternative sound whilst on the other hand are always searching for the ultimate popsong.
Strong intense songs with a highly authentic flavour. While the shoegaze revival is starting to happen, The City Beautiful is a well kept secret, ready to be spread!
