Biography

The Salt Pale Collective are a sludge/doom/post-metal collective from the North of England, formed in 2021 by Alex, Dave and Dan. Drawing from doom, sludge, post-metal, noise, ambient and post-rock, the band combines crushing low-end riffs with expansive textures, electronic and synthesizer elements, choral passages, and contrasting clean and harsh vocals.

Their music moves between crushing heaviness and haunting, atmospheric passages, creating dark and cinematic soundscapes that feel both oppressive and strangely beautiful. Rather than settling into a single genre, The Salt Pale Collective bring disparate elements together into a constantly evolving and unpredictable whole.
