Biography
The Sprigs is an experimental folk project led by British artist Rory Salter (also known as Malvern Brume), alongside Ben Murphy and Ben Victor Waggett. The project is conceptually inspired by Kenneth Grahame’s 1908 novel The Wind in the Willows, blending tape-worn acoustic guitar sketches, pipes, field recordings and British labour history into a collage-like mix of experimental music and homespun folk. Their releases include the early projects Before I Glare Up At The Sun Through The Top Soil and Mole's Uninvited Guests, followed by their full-length vinyl album For Red Riverbank, released via Bison Records in 2026.
